Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Texas or Louisiana residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the KFDM viewing area (Jefferson, Hardin, Orange. Taylor, Newton and Jasper counties).
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station KFDM (the “Station”), Zummo Meat Company, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, Buddy Media, Ciceron, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Facebook.com, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Qualified entrants may enter once per day per method of entry (as further described below).
(b) THERE ARE TWO (2) WAYS TO ENTER AND TWO (2) WAYS TO WIN:
1. To enter a recipe using Zummo products for judging, log onto the www.KFDM.com Contest Page or log onto the KFDM NEWS Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KFDMNews.com, and click “Like” to access the Get in the Game tab and the Zummo Game Day Recipe online contest entry page and online entry form. Complete the online entry form with your name, address, phone, age, email address, favorite original game day recipe and submit. All recipe entries must use a Zummo product as an ingredient. Any recipe entered in the contest is subject to be published in the Zummo cookbook with credit to the entrant.
By entering a recipe, entrants represent and warrant (i) that they own the recipe submitted, (ii) it does not violate the rights of any third parties, and (iii) that they agree to the terms and conditions located at http://www.kfdm.com/station/legal/terms.shtml. The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
2. Alternatively, to enter without a recipe, log onto the www.KFDM.com Contest Page or log onto the KFDM NEWS Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KFDMNews.com, and click “Like” to access the Get in the Game tab and the Zummo Game Day Recipe online contest entry page and online entry form. Complete the online entry form with your name, address, phone number, and birth date in the provided area and click submit. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted.
(c) The contest starts on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 and ends at 5:00 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 (the “Contest Period”). All entries which include recipes for judging must be received by Station by 5 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Entries without recipes must be received by 1:00 p.m. CDT each Friday during the Contest Period to qualify for the weekly drawings beginning September 7, 2012 through November 9, 2012. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or for printing errors server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(d) All entries with recipes will be judged by Mrs. Zummo based on creativity and use of Zummo products. On or about November 2, 2012, three (3) finalists will be determined as a result of the judging, and notified by phone. Each of the three (3) finalists will be required to appear on KFDM Channel 6 with their recipes on November 14, 2012. If a finalist cannot be notified within two (2) business days, then such finalist will be disqualified, and an alternate finalist with the next highest score may be selected, as determined by Mrs. Zummo, in her sole and absolute discretion.
(e) Between 6:00 a.m. CST November 14, 2012 and 3:00 p.m. CST November 14, 2012, viewers will be asked to vote via text for his/her favorite recipe by texting Zummo1, Zummo2, Zummo3 to short code 67336. Standard text messaging rates apply to all text message entries sent. Voting is limited to one vote per cell phone account holder per day. Duplicate votes will be disqualified. On November 14, 2012, the Station will determine one (1) grand prize winner based on the finalist recipe with the most valid votes. The Station reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion whether the text votes are valid, and may disqualify any duplicate votes. Multiple and/or irregular votes or multiple votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source will be considered invalid.
(f) Each Friday during the Contest Period beginning September 7, 2012, one (1) weekly winner will be selected by random drawing from among valid entries received without recipes, for a total of ten (10) weekly winners. Remaining valid entries will not carry over to the next weekly drawing.
(g) All entries (including recipes) received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries (including recipes) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. Zummo, and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. Each of the ten (10) random weekly winners will receive a Zummo Party Pack valued at $50. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a Zummo Party for 20 including the Zummo Food Truck, boudain, sausage, condiments, plates, water and soft drinks. Valued at $500. The party location must be within the five county area of KFDM DMA. The two remaining finalists will will receive a Zummo Party Pack valued at $50.
2. Winners will be notified by phone. Before claiming prizes, winners must provide their correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Winners must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 3 days of notification, at the time each winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If a weekly winner cannot be notified within 3 days, or does not timely sign return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner randomly selected from among remaining valid entries. If the grand prize winner or finalist cannot be notified within 3 days, or does not timely sign return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and the prize will be awarded to the finalist with the next highest number of votes as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Station is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest and/or the use of short-code.]Winner must sign a W-9 form.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household.
7. Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
8. Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries or votes received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont TX 77702 and on the Station’s website at www.kfdm.com.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont TX 77702 by December 31, 2012.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications, LLC, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, Buddy Media, Ciceron, Inc. Facebook.com, Facebook, Inc., and Zummo Meat Company, accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information. Station is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest and/or the use of short-code.
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
7. Mobile service provider may charge for each text message sent and received according to its standard text messaging rates. Entrants should check phone capabilities for specific text messaging instructions and consult with mobile service provider regarding pricing plans. Entrants must be a mobile service subscriber with text messaging service, using a participating service provider in order to enter via this method. Not all mobile phone providers carry the necessary service to participate.
8. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, Facebook.com, and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
