Bridal Traditions Ultimate Wedding Contest
November 24, 2014 – January 18, 2015
Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Texas or Louisiana residents who are 18 years of age or older, a couple, reside in the KFDM viewing area, and are currently engaged to be married no later than December 31, 2015.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station KFDM (the “Station”), KBTV, Beaumont Civic Center, Suga’s, Fairytale Dreams, Clyde’s, Ortiz Formalwear, J&J Monogramming, World Gym, Sun Travel, Garden District, Bow Tie DJ, Rayburn Country, Something Special, Cindy’s Bridal, Luxury Flush, Pappagallo, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
How to Enter
a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry allowed per couple.
b) To enter, log onto http://www.weddingcentral.tv/main/home.html to create your free engagement announcement. Then, log on to www.kfdm.com to complete an online entry form with your name, your fiancé’s name, address, telephone number, birth date, email address, upload a photo of yourself and your fiancé, briefly describe why you deserve to win, insert the URL link to your engagement announcement, and click “Submit.” No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted.
c) The contest starts on November 24, 2014, and ends on January 18, 2015. All entries must be received by Station by 11:59 p.m. CST on January 4, 2015, to qualify for the voting period. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, printing errors, server unavailability, computer, or any other electronic malfunction.
d) Between 8:00 a.m. on January 5, 2015 and 11:59 p.m. CST on January 11, 2015, viewers will be asked to vote online at www.kfdm.com for their favorite couple. Voting is limited to one vote per account holder per day; duplicate votes will be disqualified. The Station reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion whether the online votes are valid, and may disqualify any duplicate votes. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, vote farming, vote purchasing, or any other activity that artificially inflates such entrant’s votes as determined by Station in its sole discretion. Multiple and/or irregular votes or multiple votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source will be considered invalid.
On January 12, 2015, the Station will determine three (3) finalist couples based on the three entries with the most valid votes. In the event of a tie, one (1) finalist couple will be randomly selected from among the tied entrants.
e) Three (3) finalist couples will be required to attend the Bridal Traditions bridal show at the Beaumont Civic Center on January 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. CST to compete in the Almost Newlywed Game (the “Game”). During the Game, each of the finalist couples will earn points based on correctly answered questions. On January 18, 2015, up to three (3) winning couples will be determined based on the scoring results of the Game. The Game will be judged by Station and sponsor personnel, and their decisions shall be final. If a finalist couple is unable to attend the Game, then such finalist couple will be disqualified, and time permitting, an alternate finalist couple will be determined as the entrant with the next highest number of votes. If a finalist does not appear in person to participate in the Game, then such finalist will be disqualified, an alternate finalist will not be determined, and the third place prize will remain the property of the Station. The Station reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Game due to lack of participation, and revise these contest rules.
f) All entries (including photos) received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries (including photos) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station, and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. The first place winning couple will receive a prize package which includes a wedding dress from Cindy’s Bridal valued at $500, a wedding cake valued at $500 from Something Special, a groomsmen getaway or honeymoon getaway valued at $500 from Rayburn Country, DJ Services from Bow Tie DJ valued at $500, and a $500 brunch or bridal shower from The Garden District, two 3 month memberships valued at $367.94 from World Gym Beaumont. The total value of the first place prize package is $2,867.94. The second and third place couples will each receive a prize package that includes one (1) night hotel accommodations, one room, double occupancy at Rayburn Country, valued at $99, $100 gift card from Luxury Flush, $50 gift card from Pappagallo, $100 voucher for 2 hour sitting fee at Julie Rogers Theater or Jefferson Theater wedding planning services from Fairytale Dreams valued at $200, $50 gift card for monogramming services at J&J Monogramming, $50 gift card from Sun Travel, two 1 month memberships to World Gym Beaumont, valued at $151.44, $50 gift card from Ortiz Formalwear, $50 gift card from Clyde’s, $50 gift card from Suga’s. The total value of each second and third prize packages is $1,050.44. Gift certificates are subject to the terms and conditions of the providers, including any expiration dates.
The hotel accommodations at Rayburn Country do not include transportation, meals, gratuities, parking, resort fees, or any other expenses. The hotel accommodations are subject to reservation, availability, and black-out dates, and must be used by December 30, 2015.
Between January 12, 2015 and January 16, 2015, Station’s viewers will be asked to vote for the specific first place prizes which include honeymoon getaway, cake, bridal party event, DJ service and wedding dress by submitting their vote through the UPICKEM voting application hosted on www.kfdm.com based on the following schedule:
Monday, January 12, 2015: DJ Service
Tuesday, January 13, 2015: Bridal Party Event
Wednesday, January 14, 2015: Cake
Thursday, January 15, 2015: Rayburn Country Getaway
Friday, January 16, 2015: Wedding Dress
Voting for each of the above prize selections will begin at 8:00 a.m. CST on Monday January 12, 2015 and conclude at 3:00 p.m. CST Friday January 16, 2015.
All prizes will be awarded to the winning couples following the Game at the Bridal Traditions show located at the Beaumont Civic Center the evening of January 18, 2015.
2. Each winner will be notified in person at the Game. Before claiming prizes, winner must provide his/her correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Each winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within ten (10) days of notification, at the time each winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station. Each winner must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If a winner cannot be notified within five (5) days, or does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be awarded to the finalist with the next highest score, as determined by the judges in their sole and absolute discretion.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for any prize except at the sole discretion of Station or prize provider. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. Each winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Each winner must complete and sign a Form W-9.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any 30 day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.
7. San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
8. San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liability arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Miscellaneous
1. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at KFDM, 6155 Eastex Frwy, Ste. 300, Beaumont, TX 77706, and on the Station’s website www.kfdm.com.
2. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KFDM, 6155 Eastex Frwy, Ste. 300, Beaumont, TX 77706, by January 30, 2015.
3. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, Beaumont Civic Center, Suga’s, Fairytale Dreams, Clyde’s, Ortiz Formalwear, J&J Monogramming, World Gym, Sun Travel, Garden District, Bow Tie DJ, Rayburn Country, Something Special, Cindy’s Bridal, Luxury Flush, Pappagallo, and The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
4. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes, or contest information. Station is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest and/or the use of short-code.
5. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes, and change the aforementioned contest dates.
