JACK BROOKS REGIONAL AIRPORT TRAVEL TRIVIA AND AA ADVANTAGE CONTEST
FEBRUARY 12-26, 2014
Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the KFDM viewing area and have a valid email address. To be eligible for a chance to win the grand prize, entrants must become a member of American Airline’s Advantage Club (“AA Advantage”), as further described below.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station KFDM and KBTV (collectively the “Stations”), KBTV, JACK BROOKS REGIONAL AIRPORT, AMERICAN AIRLINES, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. For the daily trivia contest, entries are limited to one entry per IP address per trivia question per weekday (Monday through Friday). For the grand prize, one entry per AA Advantage number. The name of the person on record with American Airlines for the AA Advantage number is considered the entrant.
(b) There are several ways to enter and win in this contest:
(i). Weekdays between February 12, 2014 and February 25, 2014 (the “Contest Period”), viewers will be prompted to watch The Morning Show, which airs on KFDM channel 6 between 5:00 a.m. CST and 7:00 a.m. CST, and on KBTV channel 4 between 7:00 a.m. CST and 9:00 a.m. CST, and look for the daily trivia question for each program. Then, to enter, qualified entrants must separately email the correct answer to each daily trivia question to themorningshow@sbgtv.com. Each daily trivia entrant will then receive a bounce back email with a link to www.kfdm.com/contests or www.fox4beaumont.com/contests to enter for a chance to win the grand prize. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted.
(ii) To enter for a chance to win the grand prize, entrants may either follow the link provided in the daily trivia bounce back email, OR log onto www. kfdm.com/contests or fox4beaumont.com/contests and click on Travel Trivia to complete the online entry from with your name, address, age, email, phone number, and AA Advantage number. Entrants may obtain an AA Advantage number by signing up online (there is no cost) at https://www.aa.com/AAdvantage/quickEnroll.do
(c) The contest starts on February 12, 2014 and ends at 9 a.m. CST on February 25, 2014 (“Contest Period”). Entries for the grand prize drawing must be received by Stations by 9:00 a.m. CST on February 25, 2014. Stations are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction, or if a bounce back email is not received.
(d) Each weekday during the Contest Period, two (2) daily trivia winners (one winner per trivia question/station) will be determined as the first correct answer to be received by each Station, for a total of twenty (20) daily trivia winners. The contest will be judged by Station personnel, and the decision of the judges will be final as to all matters, including (i) the order in which daily trivia email entries were received and (ii) whether any answer required to be given is correct. On February 26, 2014, one (1) grand prize winner will be randomly selected from among valid entries. As a condition of winning, American Airlines will verify whether the winner’s AA Advantage number is valid and consistent with the entrant’s name.
(e) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Stations and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. Each of the twenty (20) daily trivia winners will receive a $50 VISA gift card. One (1) GRAND PRIZE WINNER will receive two (2) round trip tickets (economy class) from American Airlines to anywhere in the continental United States, Mexico, Caribbean or Canada. Tickets are valid for one year from date of winning. The prize does not include any meals, hotel accommodations, other transportation, gratuities, trip cancellation insurance, baggage fees, miscellaneous airline fees or any other expenses. The prize is subject to advance reservation, availability, and blackout dates may apply. The prize may be subject to additional restrictions as determined by American Airlines. The prize is tickets are valued at up to One Thousand Two Hundred dollars ($1,200) depending on the location winner selects.
2. Winners will be notified by phone. Before claiming prizes, winners must provide their correct name, address and telephone number to Stations at the time of notification. Winners must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within five (5) days of notification at the time winners claim his/her prize. All persons traveling with the winner on the trip must be 18 years of age or over, unless travelers under 18 are accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of all of the minors. All persons traveling on the trip must also sign and return a release which must be returned with the winner’s release and affidavit of eligibility within the time frame specified above. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes. Stations reserve the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If a daily trivia or grand prize winner cannot be notified within two (2) days, or does not timely sign return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and time permitting, an alternate winner will be randomly selected from among remaining valid trivia entries for the respective trivia question or grand prize entries, as the case may be.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Stations. The Stations have the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner must sign a W-9 form.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household
7. San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize provider shall not be responsible for winner’s failure to use the airline tickets within the time frame described above, or cancellation of a trip by the winner.
8. San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning a daily trivia prize depend on the order in which correct entries received by each of the Stations each weekday. Odds of winning the grand prize depend on the number of entries received.

3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont, TX 77702 by April 1, 2014.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, Jack Brooks Regional Airport, and American Airlines accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Stations cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information
6. Stations reserve the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
7. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Stations, any sponsors, and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
