Cutest Couple Photo Contest
February 1 – 14, 2014
Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Texas or Louisiana residents who are 18 years of age or older, reside in the KFDM or KBTV viewing area, and if entering via Facebook, be existing users of Facebook.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station KFDM (the “Station”), KBTV, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, their affiliated companies, Gigi’s Cupcakes, Mathew’s Jewelers, Vacuum City, Great American Cookie, Wild Truffle Boutique, Cathy Cook Jewelry, Sam’s Western Store, Pappagallo, Cindie’s, Airport Travel, Lutcher Theater, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. One entry per UPICKEM account holder.
(b) To enter, log onto www.kfdm.com, www.fox4beaumont.com, www.facebook.com/KFDMNews, or www.facebook.com/fox4setx to access the UPICKEM online entry form. Complete the online entry form with your name, address, telephone number, birth date, upload a picture of you as a cutest couple, and click submit. Picture must be in .jpg format. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted.
(c) By entering, entrants represent and warrant (i) that they own the picture submitted, (ii) it does not violate the rights of any third parties, (iii) the picture has not been altered or enhanced with any software (excluding redeye), and (iv) that they agree to the terms and conditions located at http://www.kfdm.com/station/legal/terms.shtml. No lewd, nude, or offensive pictures (as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion) will be accepted. The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
(d) The contest starts on Saturday, February 1, 2014, and ends on Thursday, February 13, 2014 (the “Contest Period”). Note that all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CST Sunday, February 9, 2014, to qualify for the voting period. Station is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected entries, printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(e) Beginning at 8 a.m. CST on Monday, February 10, 2014, and ending at 11:59 p.m. CST on February 13, 2014, viewers will be asked to vote online for their favorite picture. Voting is limited to one vote per account holder per day. Duplicate votes will be disqualified. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, vote farming, vote purchasing, or any other activity that artificially inflates such entrants votes as determined by Station in its sole discretion. The Station reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion whether the online votes are valid. Multiple and/or irregular votes or multiple votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source will be considered invalid.
(f) On February 14, 2014, the one (1) entrant with the most valid votes for his/her picture entry, as determined by the Station, will be deemed the winner. In the event of a tie, then one (1) winner will be randomly selected from among the tied picture entries.
(f) All entries (including pictures) received that are duplicate, mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries (including pictures) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., and the Station, and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. Winner will receive one (1) $50 gift certificate to Vacuum City, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Great American Cookie, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Mathew’s Jewelers, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Sam’s Western Store, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Pappagallo, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Cindie’s, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Wild Truffle Boutique, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Gigi’s Cupcakes, one (1) $50 gift certificate to Cathy Cook Jewelry, two (2) tickets valued at $50 to see “Million Dollar Quartet” at the Lutcher Theater on February 15, 2014, at 7:30 p.m., and one (1) $50 gift certificate toward a cruise or tour from Airport Travel, subject to the terms of the gift certificate. The total value of the prize is $550. KFDM, KBTV and Lutcher Theater are not responsible if the “Million Dollar Quartet” performance is cancelled or postponed
2. Winner will be notified by phone. Before claiming prizes, winner must provide his/her correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within five (5) days of notification at the time winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station. Winner must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If the winner cannot be notified within five (5) days, or does not timely sign return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner with the next highest number of valid votes will be determined by the Station, in its sole and absolute discretion.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner must complete and sign a Form W-9.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household
7. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., and San Antonio Television, LLC are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize providers shall not be responsible for winner’s failure to use the gift certificates by their expiration date or the cancellation of a cruise or tour.
8. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., and San Antonio Television, LLC are not responsible for any liability arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Sinclair Television Group, Inc., have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received and online voting results.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont, TX, 77702, or on our website, www.kfdm.com.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont, TX 77702, by December 31, 2014.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, Gigi’s Cupcakes, Mathew’s Jewelers, Vacuum City, Great American Cookie, Wild Truffle Boutique, Cathy Cook Jewelry, Sam’s Western Store, Pappagallo, Cindie’s, Airport Travel, Lutcher Theater accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes, and change the aforementioned contest dates.
7. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, Facebook.com and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
