Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Texas or Louisiana residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the KFDM and KBTV viewing area, and be an existing user of Facebook if entering via Facebook.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station KFDM, KBTV (the “Stations”), Howell Furniture, Ritter @ Home, Market Basket, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, Buddy Media, Ciceron, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Facebook.com, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Qualified entrants may enter one (1) original recipe per day.
(b) To enter, log onto the www.KFDM.com or www.fox4beaumont.com Contest Page or log onto the FOX 4 Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/fox4setx, and click “Like” to access the You Made It, We Ate It Recipe online contest entry page and online entry form. Complete the online entry form with your name, address, phone, age, email address, favorite original game day recipe and submit. Recipes submitted must be original and not published in any cookbook, food blog, magazine, or recipe website. No mechanically produced or completed entries will be accepted.
(c) By entering a recipe, entrants represent and warrant (i) that they own the recipe submitted, (ii) it does not violate the rights of any third parties, and (iii) that they agree to the terms and conditions located at http://www.kfdm.com/station/legal/terms.shtml. The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
(d) The contest starts on Monday, October 21, 2013, and ends at 5:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, November 22, 2013 (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received by Station by 11:59 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 to qualify for judging. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or for printing errors server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(e) All recipe entries with recipes will be judged by KFDM staff and sponsors based on creativity and game day appeal. Four (4) finalists will be determined as a result of the judging, and notified by phone. One finalist will be announced each of the following Fridays: October 25, November 1, November 8, November 15.
(f) Each of the four (4) finalists will be required to appear on KFDM Channel 6 with their recipes on November 22, 2013. If a finalist cannot be notified within two (2) business days, then such finalist will be disqualified, and an alternate finalist with the next highest score may be selected, as determined by the judges. On November 22, 2013, each of the four (4) finalists’ recipe’s will be judged by a panel of judges based on creativity, game day appeal, and taste. On November 22, 2013, one (1) grand prize winner will be determined based on the criterion set forth is this subparagraph (f). Failure of a finalist to appear on November 22, 2013 will result in disqualification.
(g) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. Each of the four finalists will receive one (1) gas grill valued at $285 and one (1) gift card to Market Basket valued at $100. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a dining table and four chairs valued at $899.
2. Finalists will be notified by phone. Winner will be notified in person. Before claiming prizes, winners must provide their correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Finalists and winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 3 days of notification, at the time each winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station. Finalists and winner must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If a finalist does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and another finalist will not be determined. If the grand prize winner does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate grand prize winner will be determined by the judges as the finalist with the next highest score.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner must sign a W-9 form.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household.
7. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
8. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Miscellaneous
1. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont TX 77702 and on the Station’s website at www.kfdm.com.
2. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KFDM Channel 6, 2955 IH 10 East, Beaumont TX 77702 by December 31, 2013.
3. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, Buddy Media, Ciceron, Inc. Facebook.com, Facebook, Inc., Howell Furniture, Ritter @ Home and Market Basket, accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
4. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.
5. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
6. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, Facebook.com, and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
7. Facebook, Inc. and www.facebook.com (collectively, “Facebook”) are not affiliated with the Station nor this contest. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook.
